Tutorial: Creating a User Account

Step #1:


On the eTHANKS Home page go to the Login to Site box and Click on the Create Account link.




Step #2


You will be directed to the Disclaimer page.

After reading the Disclaimer, proceed to the bottom of the page.


Put a check in the box at the bottom of the page and then click on the Continue button. You will then be directed to the first Create User dialog box.



Step #3

The first Create User dialog box will ask you to input Account Information.



Enter a User Name: The User Name may be a combination of letters and numbers. It should be at least 6 characters in length. The user name is not case sensitive. You will not be required to provide your real name.


Enter a Password: Your password should be a combination of letters and numbers. It should be at least 6 characters in length. The password is case sensitive. You must enter the password a second time to confirm your password.


Enter a Email address : This field is optional. You are not required to enter your Email address to receive an account. This Email address will be used if you forget your password. Your Email address will never be provided to a third party. For an explanation of the Site Policy regarding Email addresses, see the Disclaimer page.


Enter a Question : This question will be used if you need to recover your password. Example: My pets name.


Enter an Answer: This answer will be used along with the question above should you need to recover your password.


Click on the Create User button



Step #4



The second Create User dialog box will ask you to input Type of User information.


How do you currently use the computer? Select the radio button that answers the question.


Category of Interest? Select the radio button that answers the question.

Click on the Next button.

You have finished creating your account, you will be directed to a dialog box like the one shown below. Here you may opt to go to the Orientation section or go directly to the Modules.
